Mission: To provide academic opportunities to el paso area youth, with emphasis on the disadvantaged, by providing a tennis center and tennis instruction in order to enhance scholarship avenues and opportunities.
Programs: The el paso tennis development foundation (the "foundation") experienced a severe decrease in the number of sponsors for their annual funding event during 2009, and economic conditions in the el paso area made the continuation of the foundation's primary exempt purpose unsustainable in 2010. The foundation lost it's primary contributor, the el paso independent school district ("episd"), in 2010 which forced the foundation to suspend it's tax exempt activities. The foundation's fixed assets reverted back to episd in 2010 and the foundation sold it's remaining assets in 2010 to eliminate it's overhead expenses. In 2012, the board decided to terminate the entity.
