I have visited Ekisa Ministries twice. I am very impressed with the staff I met. I so appreciate the philosophy of the organization. I saw evidence of the ability to change attitudes in the ways they support families and in the treatment of the children.
Over several years of volunteering with Ekisa, I've been able to see first hand the significant positive impact the supports and services offered make in the lives of the children and families served. Ekisa truly is changing lives for the better while always striving to ensure that they are helping without hurting by empowering families and communities and upholding the dignity and worth of every child served.
I’ve worked at Ekisa for over year, but was a donor for many year before that. Ekisa strives to keep people’s stories confidential while still serving them wholeheartedly. They protect their kids and desire to give local Ugandans jobs and empowerment over their lives and families. I’m so lucky to work here!!
Ekisa works hard to make sure that children are in families, with a priority on keeping kids in families of origin or local families. They strive to provide the best care to the children in their program, and work to make sure that they are thriving and growing spiritually, physically, academically, and emotionally.
Ekisa is the best! They serve arguably the most vulnerable population in Uganda and do it well. All donations go directly to essential services for children with disabilities and their families. I’m thankful to be a small part of the work going on at Ekisa!
Excellent charity (disclosure: I've known one of the founders and her family for years, and they are wonderful). Your donations go DIRECTLY to the children and not administrative overhead. Ekisa's employees are local disabled adults, so even the staff expenditures help the community and go towards a great cause.
