Mission: The egypt cancer network (ecn) 57357 and afnci overall mission is to raise funds to provide charitable support to egyptian hospitals and treatment facilities in the areas of education and scientific activities, facility and equipment upgrade, patient treatment, program expansion and operational support for the benefit of egyptian cancer patients. Ecn 57357 and afnci conducts various charity events within the united states to raise funds to support hospitals and/or facilities helping individuals suffering from cancer in egypt. The board of directors will exercise discretion as they identify and select suitable recipient organizations, ensuring that any and all recipients of funds will be qualified 501(c)(3) organizations or activities in egypt that qualify as exempt under irs requirements. The percentage of our time allocated to the activity is 100%.
Programs: Rtkl international, a corporate architect providing design professional services for the renovation and expansion of the facilities children's cancer hospital egypt (cche) 57357. Cche 57357 proton therapy center- the egypt cancer network(ecn) 57357 supports it as this project for cche 57357 & ecn supports cche 57357.
sereen fund- ecn designated fund that purchases toys and art supplies to the patients in the hospital. These items are used while the children are in the hospital and undergoing chemo to help them feel better emotionally. Canada project- ecn usa helped launch a new branch in canada (ecn canada). Funds went to help set up the organization as well as apply for tax exempt status. Ecn canada is now self sufficient. Advertising- ecn launched an advertising campaign to help solicit donations during the giving month of ramadan to help encourage donors to give their donations during this holy month to the children of hospital 57357. These marketing dollars went to help with the funding of the hospital expansion as well as patient care.
educational programs: the egypt cancer network(ecn) 57357 and afnci are sponsoring the dana farber children's hospital cancer center and the children's cancer hospital egypt (cche) 57357 pediatric oncology fellowship program which was formally signed in 2012. The cost includes program development, signing ceremony, and committee meetings. They have also supported cche 57357 physicians and researchers to attend leading international conferences or workshops in order to give presentations of their research and work at 57357 or learn specific techniques. This has included trip, registration, hotel, and per diem expenses.
