Effortz is one of the best nonprofit in Tanzania. I have known Effortz, its founders and some of students they sponsor for six years. During this period I have observed how Effortz has managed to change lives of these children. By giving these children who come from challenging backgrounds good education and nurturing them (socially, culturally and morally), Effortz is changing their lives trajectory for the better. My wife and I are sponsoring two children through Effortz. I am a Tanzanian teacher with experience teaching in both Tanzania and now US. I have indeed witnessed 11 of the children sponsored by Effortz grow for these six years. We are blessed to have them visit us at our home in Karatu, Tanzania every year. Mathias L Bali
My wife and I have been donating to Effortz for many years and it is wonderful to see how so many kids are being helped to achieve an education and better living conditions. These kids are getting a chance to live a better life and have fun because of the dedication of the great folks who founded Effortz. We have known Fred and Bebe Dudly for many years and because of their dedication and hard work to the kids of Tanzania we just had to donate knowing our donation was going directly to helping the kids. Efforts is a blessing to a lot of people!
Inspired by the work of the people at Effortz I wrote a song in 2014 called "Thank the Lord for the Missionaries" and performed it with Faith Journey at Buckingham Congregational Church in Glastonbury CT. Attached is a You tube video of the song.

EfforTZ Foundation is a great way to contribute your donation because your money goes strait to the kids in Tanzina for their education. I have the utmost trust and respect for the people that run this Non Profit Org. Two of the members are members of my church so I know that my donations are directly hellping the kids in need.
I've been volunteering with EfforTZ for almost 5 years now. My volunteer experiences have always been great. EfforTZ is really a part of the community in Arusha and in no time I felt like part of the family too. Working with the orphaned boys every year has been a very rewarding experience. I've witnessed how much the boys have grown, matured and succeeded in their school studies. I am so proud of them and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their lives.

I've been a volunteer for EfforTZ for many years now. Seeing first-hand the incredible progress made by the children supported by EfforTZ through the scholarship program has inspired me to stay involved. EfforTZ has done a great job at identifying the best school for each child and created a wonderful support system to ensure each child is successful.
Effortz Foundation has been an important organization in my village. In the past three years Effortz brought a light to my village and now young girls who were being married by their parents when they were 14-16 are now being saved by Effortz. Effortz has changed lives in my village of Eluai and other villages around my village have also benefited from Effortz Foundation. Girls in the primary school are now studying harder and dreaming to continue with secondary school since Effortz has started providing scholarships and before they had no hope to continue their studies. I am grateful for all the work and the change that Effortz has done in my village and the surrounding villages in Maasai land.
Thank you for your great work.
Having just returned from visiting the St. Patricks and Emusoi schools, I have shared the joy and hope these fortunate students possess. They are " in you face" happy. Having met and spoken to the young man my wife and I are helping with his education, I see the face of every child with in these two schools.
That being gratitude for the opportunity they have been given. I urge everyone to help change the world by helping to educate the youth. Effortz is a foundation that is truly making a difference.
I've know about the good works EfforTZ has been doing in Tanzania for several years. I've been most impressed with the difference they have been making in the lives of young girls of the Maasai tribe. I have a daughter of my own and the thought that girls are being married off by their fathers at 12 and 13 years-old to older men with multiple wives elsewhere in the world is truly tragic. Without Effortz these Maasai girls would live lives of endless poverty, child-rearing, and worse.

The impact of EfforTZ is truly inspiring. The founders of the organization have gone to great lengths to ensure that Tanzania's orphans are well-fed, clothed, and schooled in a nurturing environment, which has enabled the children to thrive and succeed despite the grave circumstances they've been faced with.
I'e been involved with EfforTZ since the beginning. One of its major strengths is that all of those involved with it have a passion for its mission of helping educate children in Tanzania. Those who run it and are on the board donate their time. No one is doing it for money. We're heping these children change their lives through education because we believe we can make a difference and, that with the proper tools, these children can make a difference in their own lives and those of their community and their country.

I've been involved with EfforTZ since it was started. Everyone involved with the nonprofit generously gives of their time and money to help the children of Tanzania. No one takes a salary or looks for compensation for their work. I've never met a more dedicated group of volunteers and board members. The children are an inspiration for us all. The joy they have in their faces whenever any of us are with them is more than enough reward for our modest contribution of time and money. Many nonprofits wind up having a negligible effect on their recipients because they spread themselves too thin, trying to service too many children. EfforTZ doesn't follow that approach. It tries to make a major change in a few children's lives. In that way it succeeds better than most nonprofits.
My husband and I have sponsored the Tacoda Boys since 2008 when I first volunteered to live with them for three months in Sakina. Over the years, these boys have experienced many trials due to mismanagement of their original orphanage, a not uncommon problem for African orphanages. The EfforTZ Foundation Board has provided the stability and continuity in their lives that was not available elsewhere. Since 2010 we have been privileged to welcome the boys yearly to our home in Karatu on their school vacations. We have been able to witness firsthand their growth into hardworking fine young people. We have also witnessed how EfforTZ has been at their side at every turn to solve problems for them that were beyond their reach, most recently providing for them a stable home in Sakina. In addition to providing the education essential to the future of these boys, they have been stewards of their safety and welfare. EfforTZ is an outstanding nonprofit with an unwavering commitment to its Mission.
EfforTZ Foundation continues to be the only hope of the rural girl children in Maasai community of Monduli who without EfforTZ support for their education would have got married at the age ranging from 9 years to 15 years. EfforTZ liberate such undernourished girls by providing them with Education.
EfforTZ has also devoted its resources to support orphans with education in most reputable schools in Tanzania.
The books, school supplies and technical know how provided to partner schools has actually expanded the number of beneficiaries of EfforTZ Foundation in Tanzania hence strong reputation at a local community level.
We have been sponsoring a child in this program since it's inception and it has been wonderful to watch the boy we sponsor grow into a young man. He sends us letters about all the things he is learning and telling us how much he appreciates our sponsorship. I share these letters with my children and it is fun to see that this boy who lives so far away has many things in common with my children. EfforTZ sends us report cards and other communications to keep us posted on his progress. All of these thoughtful communications clearly demonstrate that our donation is being put to good use. EfforTZ provides educational opportunities to children who otherwise would not have access to higher-level learning and job opportunities and it is truly a wonderful organization.
I have been involved with EfforTZ since 2010. Our initial focus was on providing scholarships to 12 orphan boys in Arusha,Tanzania. Today, we continue our educational support of these boys, and have added some 23 Maasai girls to our scholarship program. We work closely with each of our scholarship recipients to design a unique educational path, place them in educational environments where they can flourish, closely monitor their progress, and provide needed tools and support for a successful experience. Their accomplishments have been truly amazing. Helping to change the lives of our scholarship recipients through education they would not have otherwise received has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I have been with EfforTZ since its formation.. While small in size the work we do is life changing.
Focused on providing educational scholarships to needy children in Tanzania, we believe strongly in the transformational power of education. And we see it happening every day with the children we support. Our scholarship recipients will be part of a new generation of highly educated and skilled young adults who will lead this improvised country to a new era of greater prosperity. So exciting to play a role in this process.
I have been affiliated with EfforTZ since its inception in 2010. In its short 4 years of operations, it has awarded over 100 scholarships, provided over 6,000 books, and sent almost 3 tons of school supplies to some of the poorest children in Arusha, Tanzania. EfforTZ makes an investment in lives of children today and changes their futures and those of their families forever. I am proud to be affiliated with this organization and provide both financial and personal support to all of its efforts.

This organization began in 2010 with 12 scholarship awards. Through 2013, it has awarded a total of 84 scholarships to orphaned boys, Maasai girls, and other impoverished children in Arusha, Tanzania. In 2010 it provided 100 lbs of school supplies to its partner schools; through 2013 it has supplied 4,520 lbs of school supplies to its partner schools. More than 4,000 children have benefited from the generous donations of the supporters, volunteers and friends of this organization. I am incredibly impressed by the dedicated commitment of everyone involved with it.
EfforTZ has made a huge difference in the lives of many children, particularly the girls of the Maasai tribe. Without the scholarships to secondary school that EfforTZ gives to them they would be married off, at the age of 12 or 13, by their fathers for the dowry. All of the principles and the directors give their time out of love and passion. None of them receive a salary.

I've been privileged to be involved with EfforTZ Foundation since its inception both as a board member, volunteer, and sponsor of one of their scholarship students. The time and energy everyone involved with this nonprofit puts into helping these children is wonderful to see. Even better is how the children, given the opportunity of receiving an education, work so hard to take advantage of this great gift. They want to succeed as badly as we want them to succeed. For years, before I became involved with EfforTZ, I wanted to somehow make a difference in the world. I feel EfforTZ has given me that opportunity.
We have been donating to EfforTZ since its inception. While we gladly contribute to many orgaanizations whose work aligns with our goals and priorities, EfforTZ is the only one that uses every dollar taken in to directly benefit the children whose educational needs it was meant to address. These are young boys and girls who have no families and who would otherwise have no opportunities whatsoever to change their status in life. As a result of EfforTZ, however, these children are provided with a place to live, an advocate, and an education that is directly targeted to whatever capacity they possess to attain a better life for themselves. As a result, formery homeless children who likely would have otherwise lived on the street are excelling. We are kept apprised of their progress through copies of their report cards as well as from letters written by the children themselves. To see their capacity to write in English grow over time is incredible. These are children who will make a posiotive mark in the world, and who will someday pay forward the benefit they have been given. This ia an organization that makes a true difference.
EfforTZ Foundation is a wonderful effort to educate children in Tanzania. The founders are educators who not only raise funds but go to Tanzania to teach and follow the money to see that it is being used in the best possible way. They use their own money to get there and support their efforts with additional funding.
I am very impressed with the gains they have made and will continue to support them for as long as I am able .
This is a wonderful charity, and we have been supporting it (modestly) for a few years now. We are so excited about the ways in which the children have benefited from this non profit. Because of this group, the children have educational opportunities and loving volunteers who visit them and help guide them with their futures. We always get hand written notes thanking us for our support, which means a lot to us. We are so happy to be a part of this foundation!!
What better way to improve the health and well-being and ensure a brighter future for children in Tanzania than by providing quality educational support? That's exactly what the dedicated people of EfforTZ Foundation, Inc. do in a very personal way. I am proud to support this organization and hope that it is able to continue providing its services for many years to come.
This organization provides a very worth while service to many young people in Africa. They have been instrumental in providing educational scholarships, books, and other materials to some of the orphans in Tanzania. Through the work of dedicated volunteers they have enriched the lives of many. It is a joy to receive their newsletter and see the smiling faces of some of the kids they have helped.
Nothing can help better human life more than education. I admire and support the giving of books by Effortz.
Prior to helping start EfforTZ in 2010, I had already spent several months in Tanzania, working with some of the teachers in public schools and researching some of the affordable private schools in the Arusha area. As an educator and public school teacher in the US for more than 40 years, I loved the positive attitude toward improving education that permeated many of the people I met--in spite of their poverty and limited resources.
Since 2010, I have returned with other volunteers--and most recently with my 15 year old grandson!-- to continue to work with some of our scholarship students and local schools and to distribute supplies. It is thrilling to see first-hand the differences that EfforTZ is making in the real lives of Tanzanian young people.

i had seen firsthand in a month-long volunteer stay in Arusha in 2008 the difficult conditions in the schools. They were attempting to teach English in elementary school classes of 60+ children with no books, no supplies. Yet most teachers and students were eager to learn. As an educator who had taught in US public schools for 41 years, and having fallen in love with the people of Tanzania and their spirit in the face of extreme poverty, I felt called to help in whatever way I could. EfforTZ has provided practical and meaningful ways of providing that help. None of our volunteers receive compensation, and we have been able to provide scholarships for both boys and young women that will enable them to get good educations, have worked alongside teachers in their classrooms to model different ways to learn English skills, and provided classroom supplies that were desperately needed. I feel blessed to have been a part of EfforTZ.
We started EfforTZ more than three years ago with a vision for improving the educational opportunities for a small number of orphans. It was important to me that we set realistic goals and meet them. Each year since then we have been able to meet our goals and set new, higher goals. It was a great joy to have five
of our scholarship recipients graduate from Level 7 this year from two of the best schools in Arusha. It is also gratifying to know that more Maasai girls from the villages we serve are eager to apply for help to improve their education and their opportunities. I am blessed to be part of EfforTZ team.

I am humbled to be part of this wonderful organization, which is focused on providing improved educational opportunities for underserved children in Tanzania. When we began in 2010, we were providing private school scholarships for the orphaned boys from TACODA Children's Home in Arusha and a few public school scholarships for family members of TACODA's staff. We have since expanded that to include young women from Maasai villages who have traditionally been excluded from education beyond the age of 12. EfforTZ is an all-volunteer non-profit, so all donations go directly to services in Tanzania. My experience with EfforTZ has been life-changing for me.
My husband and I have supported EfforTZ from its beginning. The founders of Effortz are personnally involved and donate their time and energy to the efforts. We are so happy to sponsor a scholarship each year and to know that one of the children is going to have a completely different life because of us and the good work EfforTZ performs. While I may never see the scholarship recipient in person, the photos of the smiling faces of healthy, happy children is reward enough for me.
The passion, dedication and tireless hard work shown by the founders of EfforTZ and its volunteers are profoundly moving. As one who teaches children, I feel extremely confident that all children whose lives are touched and changed by EfforTZ are indeed blessed.
As the manager of the nation's largest workplace giving campaign, I see a lot of nonprofits doing great work in every possible cause, in nearly every possible location. I am impressed with the dedication and passion of the board of EfforTZ and the work they are doing to change individual lives. I give a large portion of my own personal donation to EfforTZ each year, and I am certain they make the best possible use of my donation.
The EfforTZ foundation team is an inspired, dedicated, passionate group. Their vision starts with educating orphans, and by changing the lives of individual children, one at a time, they aim to improve society. They keep feet on the ground in Tanzania to verify that donations are spent with maximum effect, and bring enormous experience in teaching, management, and operations to the project. EfforTZ maximizes the impact of every donor dollar, and I have never felt like my little donations made such a big difference. Thank you EfforTZ foundation!
My husband and I have supported Effortz since its inception. The founders of this organization are experienced educators who have a clear vision for the foundation and a genuine passion for offering children in this part of Tanzania an education. I have traveled fairly extensively through Sub-Saharan Africa over the last 15 years. I've seen first-hand how NGOs and non-profits in the region go about trying to fulfill their purposes. In terms of positive impact per dollar, Effortz must be among the leaders. Because the founders donate their own time and effort to running the foundation, we know that every dollar we donate is directed to an orphaned or disadvantaged child's education. What better investment could there be in our global society?
I am in the fields in Tanzania and I can clearly see the significant of EfforTZ Foundation to Orphans, abandoned children and Maasai girls. EfforTZ Foundation rescues Eight Maasai girls each year from early forced marriages and provide them with education. Much has to be done to help more Maasai girls realize their potential and get rid of early forced marriages. It is common here for a girl of 12years to be forced to marry an elder of 45 to 60 years.
I was so lucky to be able to stay at Tacoda and visit Arusha, teach at the primary schools there and feel like I was helping. Being part of this program was a wonderful oppportunity for me, one I would love to do again.I strongly encourage others to support this program and the great works they are doing.
