Mission: To enhance the potential of students, promote excellence in teaching and inspire innovation in education, guided by strategic philanthropy. Focused exclusively on sarasota county public schools, the education foundation invests in innovative programs and initiatives that support the needs and creativity of teachers, enrich the learning experiences within each school, and empower all students to pursue a postsecondary pathway.

Programs: Educatesrq: a signature program of the education foundation, educatesrq awarded 211 classroom grants and 8 schoolwide grants. This program provides teachers and schools with funding to meet needs that include teachers supplies, innovative classroom projects and schoolwide programs.

college & career readiness:a primary objective of the education foundation is to prepare all students for life after graduation, ready to pursue a postsecondary pathway. The preparation begins in middle school. Provided funding for all sarasota county middle schools to access naviance, an online resource designed to help students discover their personal strengths and potential career interests. In addition, naviance enables individual learning plans aligned to students' goals as they look ahead to high school.

innovation:a three-day immersion experience aimed at exposing underserved youth ages 13-18 to technology, coding, and careers in the computer science field. The event paired students with volunteer mentors to create technological solutions to critical issues in the community. The education foundation also completed the implementation of 28 digital learning labs across sarasota county. Located in title 1 schools and within youth serving organizations, the labs provide underserved students and their families access to technology and training in safe and supportive environments outside of school hours. More than a space for computers, the labs are a place for students and families to feel welcomed and supported.
