Mission: Educare is an innovative partnership between the public and private sectors to create a more efficient, more effective early learning program for children from birth to five years and to provide comprehensive support to their parents. A research-based program that prepares vulnerable young children to be successful learners as they enter school. A specially designed place that nurtures early learning and sends a bold message about the value of investing in the first five years. And a compelling platform to drive change among policymakers, business leaders and early childhood providers by demonstrating what quality early learning looks like.
Programs: Program operation: operate early childhood programs focusing on development of literacy skills and identification of developmental problems for children at-risk. Longitudinal research: to determine the value of this program in conjunction with the university of north carolina. Partnership building: form effective partnerships between omaha public schools and omaha public schools head start, and model the program after chicago's educare program.
