The National Safety Council - Nebraska chapter ran a Distracted Driving Campaign last year that was focused on providing information to the public. The campaign included Nebraskans who were impacted by distracted driving. Our family was impacted. This is an important issue that the Safety Council tackled with grace and passion.
I have been involved with the National Safety Council Nebraska Chapter in many different capacities for several years. This non-profit organization demonstrates many hours of hard work providing and promoting Health and Safety in the State of Nebraska. The organization works with a variety of community partners such as schools, business, non-profits, individuals and groups providing beneficial educational opportunities so individuals have a balance in their life with SAFETY at the forefront of everything they do to prevent any deaths. It truly goes without saying, the time and effort of the staff and President of the National Safety Council Nebraska Chapter put forth everyday with their clients, emphasizing safe practices at home, in the community, and at home. Just a great organization to be a part of.
Called National Safety Council Nebraska for help with COVID - they reviewed our COVID return to work plans, gave us recommendations for improvement and then did audits every week to show compliance and give suggestions for improvements. Our workforce felt much more comfortable in returning to work knowing the NSC-Ne had reviewed our plans.
Several years ago, I had the opportunity to work at the NSC Nebraska Chapter as an instructor for the Occupational Safety and Health Program (now called Workplace Safety Services). During my years at the Council, I saw first-hand just how passionate the staff is about providing safety services to their members and the surrounding community.
Now, in my current role as a board member at the Council, I’ve had the chance to come back and experience once again the passion this organization shares when it comes to providing safety services! The same energy level that existed some 20 years ago, appears to be going strong to this day!
Kudos to the entire team at the Council for their passion, persistence, and enthusiasm for making our workplaces and community a safe place! Keep up the great work!
