Mission: EcoVoce (pronounced eekoVOcheh) was founded by professional soprano Denise Freeland in 1998 out of a combined passion for music and the wonders of nature. Drawing on "Eco" from "ecology" and "Voce," the Italian word for voice, EcoVoce serves as a musical voice for nature, performing selections about birds, wildlife, trees and water. Working at the grassroots level to help urban audiences rediscover nature through the power of music, EcoVoce offers a concert experience that inspires audiences to see nature in new ways.
