Mission: EarSay is an artist-driven non-profit organization dedicated to making artistic projects that focus on human rights and social justice and are used by the broader human rights and educational community. EarSay was founded in 1999 by artists Warren Lehrer and Judith Sloan. Through their twenty years experience as professional artists and teachers, they saw a need to create an organization committed to the development, research, creation, and production of projects that begin in specific communities and address the current cultural conflicts and successes in our multi-dimensional communities. Projects engage the participation of individuals within particular communities and are created to reflect those communities through artistic productions. Radio Documentaries are produced for public radio stations and air on New York Public Radio, National Public Radio and listener-sponsored radio stations throughout the United States. In addition, EarSay conducts workshops in the arts and conflict resolution in the schools, for at-risk youth, in senior centers, libraries and community rooms. EarSay is located in the most ethnically diverse county in the United States, Queens New York.
