Mission: EachOne TeachOne works with children from socio-economically deprived sections of Panamanian society. Public education is free in Panama; however, subsistence farmers and manual laborers are unable to pay the costs of mandatory registration fees, uniforms, school supplies, and transportation. While elementary schools are located within an hour walk for most students, middle and high schools are often located over thirty miles away. Transportation to middle school is twenty-five dollars a month, an unmanageable expense for a family with more than one child. EachOne TeachOne provides educational scholarships, leadership academic support and development seminars for rural Panamanian school children.
