Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Printing & Publishing
Mission: Dzanc Books was created in 2006 to advance great writing and champion those writers who don't fit neatly into the marketing niches of for-profit presses and to advance literary readership and advocacy across the country.
Results: We've had authors in the classrooms of hundreds of students teaching creative writing and publishing the student work, while also running programs with writing workshops in prisons, cancer centers and working with ESL students from African nations. Also have published over 50 titles and hundreds of authors through our imprints and literary journals.
