Mission: The duluth bethel is a spiritually grounded, private nonprofit organization, offering individuals dignity, hope and the opportunity to improve their quality of life through chemical dependency rehabilitation and community correction services.
Programs: Work release: licensed by the minnesota department of corrections as a jail annex. Serves adult men & women contracting with local regional counties, state department of corrections, federal bureau of prisons, us federal probation/pretrial services. Women: serves adult women involved in the criminal justice system as noted above. 98 admission, 66 female offender program, 1 fop non-residential, 3 federal, 10 doc, 16 short-term detention, 2 huber with an overall average length of stay of 23 days. A successful completion ratio of 69% making this a very effective diversion program for women, helping them find jobs and contributing to the tax base as opposed to just drawing from it in an institution. The women's unit also facility acts as a re-entry program for state and federal offenders. Men: serves adult men involved in the criminal justice system as noted above. 100 admissions, 21 federal, 66 doc, 13 county huber with an overall average length of stay of 45 days. A successful completion ratio of 74% making this a very effective program to keep offenders productive in the community, help them obtain jobs and contribute to the tax base as opposed to just drawing from it in an institution. The facility acts as a re-entry program for many state and federal offenders.
port rehab: : licensed by the department of human services mn rule 31 for chemical dependency services for males and females 18 and over - 44 beds. 199 total admissions including residential halfway house (treatment and transition) and extended care (more intensive programming less transition) for adult men and women 18 and over experiencing substance abuse issues and in need of safe, stable, sober housing and programming. A successful completion ratio of 59% makes this a very effective treatment program considering the high need high risk difficult to serve population the facility works with. This can include people involved with criminal justice, drug courts, civil commitments, co-occurring disorder, multiple treatment exposures, and other barriers to treatment.
outpatient: chemical dependency: licensed by the department of human services mn rule 31 for chemical dependency services serving either gender 18 and over in outpatient. 147 total admissions including men's & women's segregated gender specific programming, aftercare, driving with care treatment for dwi offenders and driving with care ed for 1st time dwi offenders. Overall 124 successful completions for a successful completion ratio of 85% making this a very effective treatment program for people to overcome their substance abuse issues and to not become re-involved in the criminal justice system.
community watch program: we provide electric monitoring and had 117 admits with 125 discharges. 112 of the discharges were successful with a success ratio of 96% making it a very successful program.
