organized a side event on extrajudicial killings in the philippine drug war, "human rights challenge: responding to extrajudicial killings in the drug war," at the commission on narcotic drugs meeting at the un in vienna. The event featured a video from vice president robredo of the philippines, which became extremely high profile in that country. Organized a sign-on statement on the issue to coincide with the november asean summit, which took place in manila, and did other work on the issue.

supported lobbying on drug policy reform issues, primarily of congress, through a grant to our 501(c)(4) affiliate organization, drug reform coordination network. This work includes organizing a coalition to lobby policymakers on us international drug policy, online write-to-congress web forms and accompanying email action alerts, and recruitment of organizations onto sign-on letters directed to congress.
