Causes: Community Mental Health Centers, Mental Health
Mission: To provide quality services in a comfortable, empathetic environment to persons suffering from a mental illness or emotional disturbance and to return them to a higher quality of life.
Programs: Outpatient counseling program - individuals with mental illness, behavorial and emotional problems treated through counseling and other services.
crisis intervention service - individuals are served with a 24 hour hotline open to anyone who feels as though they are in a crisis situation. Provided counseling suicide assessment services, hospital arrangement and linkage for the person needing acute care. Assisted law enforcement personnel in dealing with psychotic, suicidal and homocidal individuals. Crisis services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
psychiatric medication services - a consulting psychiatrist is available to prescribe psychiatric medicine.
