Myself and 2 others contacted the owner. She proudly told me of her organization's 501(c), non-profit tax status during our first call - which I thought was odd. She encouraged me to file an app with her Rescue Org. for a dog we both knew was close to being euthanized. Apparently, though, she is too busy to get back to volunteers/potential fosters when daily info from a shelter changes.
I submitted my app for a dog scheduled for euthanization (Martinez, CA) and tried updating her about the changed (earlier) date. I was frantic. The other two volunteers and the person at the Martinez shelter who works with the owner of Dogs and Kats Rescue also tried to get a response. NOTHING! it took desperate measures to rescue this young lab mix. When I finally reached her and expressed my dismay and anger, she was defensive and furious. I would NOT recommend dealing with her.
