Mission: Discovery ensemble has a two-fold mission: 1. Serve as a resource to boston-area schools that have no music education program; to expose students to classical music so that they understand and appreciate its power and beauty; to inspire students to learn more about music, including encouraging them to learn to play a musical instrument. 2. Be the leading chamber orchestra in new england and one of the pre-eminent music ensembles in the united states.
Programs: Discovery ensemble is a professional chamber orchestra formed to organize and manage local musicians to provide students in the new england area with a greater appreciation and understanding of classical music. In addition, discovery presents a series of interactive workshops to educate students on particular music pieces as well as classical chamber music concerts for the public.
