clean and safe streets program: we employ, year round, a team of special needs individuals to maintain the celanliness of our downtown core. We are committed to providing education and resources for special needs individuals, to learn practical job skills and safety protocols while ensuring a clean downtown core. We know that appearance matters to residents and visitors and studies show that when a community space is clean and free of trash and graffiti, crime rates also decrease. In 2016 over 5,200 bags of trash were removed as part of this program.
