It is dedicated to advancing greater awareness of the expansive value of design research and practice, with the ultimate goal of promoting sustainable cities, innovative architecture and healthy landscapes. The journal has created a multi-platform editorial space that bridges between the immediacy and scope of serious journalism with the precision and depth of scholarship, reinvigorating the tradition of the public intellectual. It has also created a searchable archive of all its 30-year history of content.
