DAASM has had, and continues to have, an impact on the lives of adults and teens with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Many people I know in the community have been given a chance to meet others who have the same issues, to learn more about these conditions, and to have opportunities to expand their circle of friends through this wonderful organization. Though DAASM started out with a handful of people who were looking for a group and a place to be themselves and to reach out to others, it has expanded to include not only many Denverites, but is followed by others world-wide via this website. As a therapist and sister of a young man with autism, I am grateful for the existence of this group, which provides so much support and fellowship to people who are often very isolated and misunderstood.
