Mission: The organization's primary exempt purpose is to promote the breeding, improvement, and sale of purebred and commercial livestock; to encourage producers to produce the highest quality livestock; to establish and maintain a friendly spirit between members of the association by the exchange of information and ideas on all subjects pertaining to livestock, poultry, ratites, and their products.
Programs: Each year the organization conducts the denton county youth fair at the north texas state fair grounds in denton texas. The purpose of the youth fair is to provide an opportunity for ffa, fccla, and 4-h members to exhibit their livestock projects in friendly, fair competition, to educate the general public about agriculture, to promote the improvement of livestock in the community, and to provide youth the opportunity for training in leadership and sportsmanship. There were approximately 1,000 youth participating in various events including market livestock, breeding livestock, home economics, environmental science, agriculture mechanics, tractor driving, horse show, rodeo, and public speaking.
