Mission: The mission of the dekalb county visitors bureau is to promote and attract tourism to dekalb county, indiana, to allow tourists to experience the epitome of small, rural, midwestern towns with the rich history centered around its transportation heritage.
Programs: Tourism to dekalb county area museums, festivals and attractions has seen an increase in visitors and support as the economy continues to recover from the most recent recession. The dekalb visitors bureau contributes to this growth through its work in promoting/advertising and providing funding assistance to dekalb county's area museums, festivals and attractions. To further promote tourism the dekalb county visitors bureau invested in "information kiosks" that provide the tourist with information on the county's attractions, festival and events, restaurants, hotels, and shopping. There are seven kiosks which are located in all the hotels and one downtown.
