Direct beneficiaries per year: 300-400

Programs: DCVLP's innovative model makes it possible for nontraditional volunteers -- including lawyers on career break to spend more time with family, government attorneys, and recent law school graduates -- to provide pro bono legal service to their community. By providing high quality training, supervision, mentoring and practice resources to these volunteers, DCVLP has dramatically expanded the availability of legal service to victims of domestic violence, foster and adoptive parents, and at-risk children in Washington, DC. and has done so extremely cost effectively.
