Causes: Family Counseling
Mission: Dadcamp is a camp-based ministry whose dream is to see a day when every family has a great dad. We are going about achieving our dream through the creation of father/child experiences at various locations in the united states and globally. We believe that when fathers are strong, families are strong and that when families are strong our communities and world will become strong. This past year we became a 501 c3 and have been doing a lot of fundraising so that we can step out to do what we are called to do. 2017's fundraising efforts have allowed us to form a small staff that has begun to lead the organization in 2018. Funding will also be used to save for a future permanent camp location and for the acquisition of other assets to enhance the dadcamp experience.
Programs: In 2017, dadcamp created 23 events in 4 countries including the united states, guatemala, honduras, and haiti. These events reached about 1500 dads/children. At each event, dads are inspired, encouraged, and equipped to become stronger fathers through a variety of teaching sessions, devotionals, and group conversations. These events are often the highlight of the year for the children who attend with their dads with activities including paintball, canoeing, archery, camp games, hikes, fishing, overnight stays and most importantly every child receives a unique moment of affirmation from their dads where they are told why their dads believe in them and love them so much.
