The Kokomo Humane Society continues to grow both its program of services and its positive impact on the region it serves. From providing cost-efficient donor access through its website linked to the transaction platform Network for Good to growing the reach of its special events, Dog Days of Summer and Autumn Catch, this organization is building community across the many constituencies that care about companion animals.

The people at the Kokomo Humane Society truly care about what they do. They’re always willing to go the extra mile to help. Most people who work there put in long hours for a trying but rewarding job. They work with the public to set up foster care for the animals, to put on vaccine clinics, to provide resources for affordable care, and find permanent homes for the animals at the shelter. Everyone is kind and personable, but still professional.
I adopted my baby, Jake from their Love Bus at a local event and I will forever be grateful for that service bringing him into my life.
That same day the Love Bus provided dozens of vaccines and microchips for free to the community. I am proud to help support such a great organization and ypu should as well. ADOPT DON'T SHOP ❤️
I have volunteered with the humane society for about a year and have found it to be extremely rewarding. The care and compassion shown for the animals is amazing to see. I adopted a dog from them and she is the best girl. I am forever grateful for the love and care she was shown during her time at the shelter.
My family has chosen to adopt our pets from the Kokomo Humane Society since we first moved to Kokomo back in the early 70s. I also have fostered kittens for the shelter and found it to be so rewarding. Four of my current feline family members were all adopted from the Kokomo Humane Society. The former building was not all that great, but the staff did its best to make it welcoming to the public. The new shelter is wonderful and I particularly like the opportunity to go to the cat Café and enjoy a beverage and play with the cats. I think all of us animal lovers realize the importance Are local shelters make in the lives of so many animals, finding loving, forever homes for these precious four-legged creatures
I have adopted many cats and dogs through the Kokomo Humane Society. The adoption process is easy and the building is beautiful on the inside and outside. The staff takes phenomenal care of all animals and take time to match each adopter with the best possible companion for their family.
