Causes: International, International Relief
Mission: Our mission is to distribute bicycles to rural african communities to improve standard of living. On a lease-to-own basis, we provide bicycles to those in need to help them access markets, clean water, healthcare, and schools.
Programs: Bicycles against poverty (bap) delivered bicycles to rural smallholder farmers in uganda who lack access to affordable transportation. Bap provided these bicycles on credit and additionally provided support services, such as, bicycle repair and finacnial management trainings. A bicycle owner is able to go faster, farther, more frequently to access clean water, healthcare, schools, and markets. We've distributed over 2,000 bicycles in over 35 communities, thus impacting over 10,000 ugandans, since inception.
