Mission: The purpose of cvbc association is to promote girls volleyball on a non-discriminatory basis to support and develop amateur athletes for the purpose of competing in usa volleyball association sponsored tournaments. The association strives to provide young female athletes with the opportunity to enhance their skills and understanding of the game of volleyball and to set a higher standard for themselves, both mentally and physically. Cvbc association will encourage the athletes they train to always believe in themselves, never lose faith, have fun playing a sport they love and become a positive influence to their teammates.
Programs: 87 girls on 9 teams participated in bi-weekly practices and monthly local tournaments to learn volleyball skills, teamwork & sportsmanship while gaining physical strength & endurance. Every girl received financial assistance from 1 club wide fundraiser. 3 girls with greater financial need received extra financial assistence
a total of 42 girls on 4 teams participated in 3 travel tournaments that were at the national qualifier level. Participants gained experience in teamwork and sportsmanship while competing with other teams at a higher physical and skill level than that available by competing at the local level. One team of 12 girls qualified for and participated in the usa volleyball jr. Olympics. The team traveled to minneapolis, minnesota for a 4 day tournament at the national level.
