I want to begin with a big THANK YOU! I have not been to this wonderful Clubhouse but I've had RSD/CRPS since 1998 and wish we had this on the East Coast...I'm in CT. It would be wonderful but I would not be able to partake in the infusions because I'm on Medicaid, which is so unfortunate because I know they work...when I had a hysterectomy a few yrs ago, I was in the ICU for 1 week getting ketamine infusions because I was wracked with RSD pain post-operatively. So it's a big problem...I'm stuck using Fentanyl patches, since 1998, unless Medicaid agrees to the infusions...that doesn't make sense to me...I thought they wanted everyone off the opiates! I'm more than willing but they won't pay for it....God Bless everyone on this thread...I know how horrible it is to live with this disease. Take good care of yourselves...
We have stayed at the CRPS club house on quite a few occasions. It is a wonderful affordable alternative to the local hotels, in fact a great home away from home. The comfortable environment and the company of others suffering from this terrible disease is a real blessing.
I am an Registered Nurse who has been suffering with CRPS for 6 year. I live in California and have traveled throughout the United States for treatment and have NEVER found a treatment that worked! Until I found Dr. Debruin he is professional, compassionate and very competent in CRPS. Has a great protocol! Had forgotten how life truly was without horrific pain until now. In just short 6 week.
Marliece his R.N. and Mia is very professional, competent, compassionate and an awesome patient advocate! It is great to have such a AWESOME medical team with great communication to be over me! I feel very safe under their care. Would highly recommend Dr. Debruin office for CRPS treatment!! Also they have a Ketamine House that is available for you to stay at while getting treatment. The house is nice and have met a lot of awesome people in the house.nIt is nice to be able to fellowship with others who share the same disease. My husband get to stay with me whenever he wants. Most of the time I stay alone. Because I enjoy spending time with those who are staying at the house.. There is free transportation to and from the clinic. If you need to go shopping. There is someone who will take you or even do your shopping, and laundry for you if needed. This is an amazing deal! Not only as a patient but being an Registered Nurse I would highly recommend Dr. Debruin office for treatment and the Ketamine house to stay. It's nice to be in a home instead of a hotel.
I have stayed at the clubhouse many times during the last year and have always been treated with compassion and respect. I have always felt safe there! This is a great place to stay while receiving treatment at Dr. DeBruin's, especially when family members are not able to stay with you. MarLeice and others at the house will take you to and from the office when necessary. It is a comfort to be with people who are experiencing what you are. There has always been someone available when needed. Everyone involved in running the clubhouse is very professional and top notch. I would highly recommend people to say there.
I had the opportunity to stay at the RSD/CRPS Clubhouse for many weeks while receiving care from Dr Mark Debruin. I felt very safe and was treated with respect and compassion. I had many bad nights with pain and was never left alone. It is nice to be able to be around others who share this disease. The house is clean and recognizes the needs of those of us with this disease. The phone is programmed with important phone numbers which include Dr Debruin and Marleice. I am so thankful that I could stay in this"home away from home", rather than in a hotel. Unfortunately, there have been two patients at the house while I was there who were very mentally unstable, making others at the house very uncomfortable. This was dealt with to calm the house down, which, of course prompted negative response on this matter on this website. Please realize that this house is so important and is a wonderful place!!!!
This is NOT a RSD/CRPS SUPPORT HOME. This place is nothing than a home rented by the Nurse of Dr. DeBruin. Please see his ratings!!!!!! http://www.yelp.com/biz/debruin-medical-center-orangevale. The nurse has taken personal information protected by the HIPAA law out of the office to BILL ME for staying at the home by which I was not advised of her involvement prior to staying. She masks behind the house as a non-for-profit and asks to receive donations but it is not. Note the donations and the amounts. I know of five persons who stayed at the house and none of which were on the donation pages. So ask yourself why is she billing for staying at the home??? Ask yourself what is Dr. DeBruin's involvement??? These people do not care about RSD/CRPS patients or they would not have been ordering me around, making snide comments, talking about other patients, giving out patient information to others. None of the so called caretakers or tenant have signed HIPAA statements and agreements. Anything you do at the Doc's office is transferred to the "clubhouse". While many people around the country do offer RSD/CRPS support groups THIS IS NOT ONE. This is simply a way for a private entity to make money off of unsuspecting patients. A lure to bring in people from other states to be treated for RSD/CRPS and not have to worry about hotel expense so they can be ORDERED TO DONATE funds. DeBruin Medical Care is the only physicians office housing patients to receive RSD/CRPS care. Others think they are happy with everything but I found no one to be paying anything to stay at the "clubhouse". Ask yourself if Dr. DeBruin is actually following Dr. Getson's protocol why are you still going 3 months, 14 weeks, 6 months consecutively. Do your research!! check reviews!!! Contact the RSDS.org for information. If you are being charged above medicare and supplement or over your personal 100% coverage, YOU SHOULD NOT BE BILLED ADDITIONAL FEES. YOU SHOULD NOT PAY FOR SERVICES IN ADVANCE. If you do not receive the entire protocol the procedure WILL NOT WORK!! Charges should be given to you as in any other physicians office. CoPay or Billed. ANY OFFICE ASKING FOR PAYMENT IN ADVANCE COULD BE A SCAM.

This person was asked to leave the house due to repeatedly breaking the rules including refusing to pay for her stay. None of her accusations are at all accurate. Please consider the source. The non-profit home is completely separate from the treatment center even though some of the staff are involved with both places. All guests sign an acknowledgment of the same prior to involvement with either. Hipaa measures are strictly followed by the staff although guests frequently and voluntarily share information with each other. Non-profits are allowed to bill for services. Those who are guests at the house are required to pay a minimal nightly fee that helps to cover the monthly rent/utilities. It is nowhere near enough to actually do so and outside donations are required to even keep it open. Not all donations are posted publicly any more than a hospital bill would be.
