Mission: Crime stoppers of metro alabama, is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with local media and law enforcement agencies to fight crime and make our communities safer. Our local crime stoppers program serves a seven county metropolitan area.
Programs: Crime stoppers offers cash rewards for information that solves crimes and leads to felony offenders being charged or arrested. Individuals providing information remain anonymous. Crime stoppers paid rewards totaling 112,150 to individuals for tips that lead to 213 felony arrests and 477 felony cases cleared. The program assists law enforcement officals in the service area with leads that might not otherwise be available.
