Mission: The purpose of casa is to help obtain out-of-home placements for abused and neglected children in order to achieve permanency in a safe and nurturing environment. The organization provides court-appointed volunteers to advocate for permanent homes for children in somerset, hunterdon and warren counties, new jersey. The organization is principally in the business of recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who are appointed by a judge in family court to advocate for a child or family of children who are in out-of-home placement.
Programs: To be an advocate for abused children in out-of-home placement and to assist children in achieving permanency in a safe and nurturing environment. During this year, the organization served 217 children and utilized the services of 106 volunteers who donated 10,532 hours of their time to the organization's mission. Program services expenses as presented here does not include $324,032 of donated volunteer services, technical support services and materials.
