Mission: Graduate student advocacy and service
Programs: Cogs travel awards-awards given to exceptional graduate students to attend educational programs, conferences, workshops, etc. In 2012-2013 fiscal year, 39 travel awards were granted.
graduate student orientation-programming designed to help incoming graduate students learn about campus and available resources. Open to the entire graduate student body.
executive board meetings-monthly meetings in which the executive board discusses advocacy efforts and carries out official business of the organization.
general assembly meetings-monthly meetings in which representatives from each graduate department are invited to discuss and advocate for initiatives meaningful to the graduate student experience; the actions of the executive board between general assembly meetings are determined based on the priorities expressed by graduate students in the assembly meetings.
graduate and professional student appreciation week-a week of social events and appreciation dedicated entirely to recognizing the impact of graduate students on campus. Open to the entire graduate student body.
teaching, leadership, and faculty awards-awards designed to recognize outstanding contributions of graduate student teachers and of those faculty members who have been dedicated to improving the graduate student experience.
