Causes: International, International Exchange
Mission: Operate foreign teacher exchange programs in 38 us states for qualified, experienced teachers from over 60 countries of the world to work in private and public schools in order to foster improved relationships and understanding between the us and other countries through educational exchange.
Programs: Teacher exchange programthe cordell hull foundation ("chf") operates the teacher exchange program as its primary vehicle to achieve its mission, sponsoring j visas for 600 foreign teachers and their families. J-1 teachers work in public and private us k-12 schools for a 1 to 3 year period. Chf is redesignated by the department of state every two years to oversee these programs.
