Mission: As a "hospital with-in a hospital," it is the mission of ccht to enhance community health through service with compassion, caring, accountability, respect, and empathy.
Programs: Continuecare hospital of tyler (ccht) is a long-term acute care hospital operating as a hospital within a hospital at christus mother frances hospital in tyler, texas. Ccht obtained a license to operate an acute care hospital on may 14, 2004, and became certified as a long-term acute care hospital (ltach) on january 1, 2005. As an ltach, ccht provides an avenue of care for patients that require extended lengths of stay in an acute care setting. Typically, lengths of stay will average 25 days or longer. Conditions appropriate for treatment in an ltach include the following: medically complex respiratory disorders including tracheotomy, ventilator dependent cardiac/cardiovascular conditions, renal disease, oncology, and wound care.
