Causes: Public & Societal Benefit
Mission: The purpose of construction career collaborative (c3) is to create a skilled and sustainable craft workforce by positively impacting the issues facing the craft worker in the commercial construction industry. C3 strives to make careers in the construction craft trades attractive by making certain that craft workers are paid employees, who receive a form w-2, are eligible for overtime pay, are covered by workers compensation insurance, receive osha safety training as well as skills training linked to a career path.
Programs: Promote the financial security, health, and well-being of craft workers by with educational program awareness to owner, contractors and specialty contractors of questionable practices in the industry. Provide an accreditation program to establish contractors and specialty contractors that agree and follow the same c3 principles. Emphasize safety on the construction projects by requiring and tracking safety training of craft workers by their employers for osha 10 and osha 30. Create and implement a safety refresher for craft workers already complying with osha 10. Identify craft training organizations, curriculum and available resources to be shared with accredited members of the program. Emphasize and promote advantages to the industry when investments of craft worker training are made available. Establish database of craft workers with individual training credentials.
