Causes: Health, Neurology & Neuroscience
Mission: Congress of neurological surgeons (cns) serves to promote health by advancing neurosurgery worldwide through innovation and excellence in education; to provide global leadership in neurosurgery by inspiring and facilitating scientific discovery and its translation into clinical pratice; to maintain the vitality of our profession through volunteer efforts of its members and the development of leadership in service to the public, to our colleagues in other desciplines, and to neurosurgeons throughout the world in all stages of their professional lives.
Programs: Annual meetings - provides physicians with continuing professional education in the field of neurosurgical medicine. Meetings include professional speakers and scientific sessions.
publications - publication of the neurosurgery journal, newsletter, and clinical neurosurgery books helps to keep physicians abreast of new technology available in the field.
fellowships and charitable contributions - annual fellowships may be awarded to doctors conducting research to advance neurosurgical knowledge.
public advocacy - enhancement of quality, safety, and access to neurosurgical care.
