Causes: Family Services, Human Services
Mission: The mission of Confidence Kits is to provide hygiene products to nonprofit shelters, food banks, foster support programs and transitional housing organizations. At Confidence Kits, our goal is to provide shampoo, toothpaste, toothbushes, combs, brushes, lip balm, lotion, razors (adults only), sanitary wipes, and soap to foster children, foster parents, transitioning families, homeless, and anyone else in need utilizing local support organizations. These products are instrumental in supporting the general overall physical/dental and mental health of those in need.
Results: We launched this nonprofit in September of 2022 and began soliciting private and corporate donations in order to purchase hygiene products. Those donations, and others ongoing through the present day, have provided funding to deliver approximately 600 kits to the receiving organizations through August 30, 2023. We are hoping to increase donations this year to meet the increase in demand we have from Matthew's Crossing Food Bank, AZCEND-Chandler Community Center, House of Refuge, several school district foster and homeless student support departments, and continue meet our existing commitments.
Target demographics: Those who need full size hygiene products and are dependent on local agencies for food, shelter, clothing and household goods.
