Concordia Of Monroeville

Programs: Concordia of monroeville is a life plan community located in the heart of monroeville serving the local aging population. Included in the community is a 59 bed skilled nursing unit. Our funding includes medicare, medicaid, insurance and private payers. In august 2014, concordia lutheran ministries of pittsburgh acquired 100% of the membership interest in concordia of monroeville, formally known as the cedars of monroeville. Through june 2017, concordia served the local community by subsidizing significant costs during the year including over 11,000 resident days of medicaid services. The total benevolent care and the difference between cost and reimbursement from the medical assistance program was $1,800,000. The organization invested in infrastructure in 2016 by adding a $1,100,000 therapy addition to provide a state of the art environment for residents to rehabilitate. In june 2017, concordia collected dog supplies for the chuck wagon program sponsored by animal friends. They distributed the items to local food banks to support people having financial difficulties.

concordia of monroeville includes a 87 bed personal care unit and 2 independent living quarters with our funding private payers. Through june 2017, concordia served the local community by providing benevolent care to residents with the difference between cost and payments from residents totalling $142,000. During the year we have provided donations to the local fire company and supported the youth baseball program in the community. Concordia has hosted fall and christmas parties opened to the community as well as residents and their families. The residents have also made cookies and projects for the local police department and meals on wheels program. A school within walking distance of the facility have students visit with the residents once per month and enjoy an activity together.
