Causes: Job Training
Mission: As shown by the different programs, the primary purpose of the workforce development board is to provide means to getting indiviuals back in the workforce by providing and helping these individuals at different stages of their lives and economic condition.
Programs: Provide child care services for low income families to work or attend training as well as improve the quality, availability and affordability of child care. Served an average of 1,223 children each day.
wia & wioa- assists youth, adults, dislocated workers to attain job skills through education, training and/or work experience so that they can become employed and self-sufficient. Overall, 11,952 individuals and employers were served.
tanf/choices goal is to end the dependence of needy parents on public assistance by promoting job preparation, work, and marrige by providing services described in 40 texas administrative code (tac) chapter 811 and 45 code of federal regulations (cfr). This program served 144 individuals.
