I have been here about seven years ago when I was pregnant with my first son. I was clueless about what to do and pregnancy help center helped me get answers, check for fetal heart beat and how to apply for Medicaid. Great staff and very kind. Also u can get baby clothes and maternity clothes free of charge.
In a time where pro-life and pro-choice affiliates are treating each other as mortal enemies, this organization shines through with love and compassion.
PHC is a local alternative to Planned Parenthood. Much like the government sponsored organization, PHC focuses on women's health issues and primarily deals with unplanned pregnancies. There is no judgment or shunning of the person experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Instead, there's a friend waiting with a hug. Friendly counseling and professional staff members exude the love of Christ in all they do.
For the women who choose to carry their child but can't provide for him/her, the PHC offers clothing and light furniture as is available. For the women who choose to carry but not keep their child, they offer contact with adoption agencies and act as a medium in a potentially scary process.
These women not only love Christ, they truly love the babies and the women who carry them.
The Pregnancy Help Center of Concho Valley is an amazing blessing. The staff and volunteers are so dedicated, caring, and welcoming. As a previous board member, I can speak from experience. It is truly a trustworthy and professional nonprofit organization. I would recommend it to my family and friends as well as strangers. I will continue to support this organization. It is definitely worthwhile.
Being Pro-Life is my main focus; therefore, saving babies and helping crisis pregnancies is a frequent topic for me. I met a wonderful lady, Sandra Franke through DAR. She told me of her work over 20 years in that field in my town. She encouraged me to attend a banquet and hear about PHCCV. After that, my husband and I had to get involved and contribute and do what we could. The Center is free to everyone and loves people through their crisis with excellent professional care and compassion and helps meet their physical needs. The Center helps mother, baby, father and family members. No one is turned away and all are given Christ's love. It is needed and very important to San Angelo and the surrounding area. I now have the privilege to serve on the Board of Directors. Every life is important and precious to PHCCV.
