Mission: Correctional health services corporation offers, operates, manages, administers and maintains a system of correctional health for the benefit of young and adult inmates that are under the custody of the department of correction and rehabilitation of puerto rico in compliance with medical and mental health care plans, among other regulations. Such services are provided in accordance with modern standards of the practice of medicine and by means of the use of an integrated and cost-effective health model.
Programs: With an asssigned budget, chsc offers administration services for the correctional health system. In other words, chsc provides all necessary personal to provide services of its organizational structure in the following departments: executive department, legal services, clinical services, administrative services, operations, human resources, information system and budget-accounting. In addition, it provides all personnel for pharmacy services, specialized psychiatric medical personnel, psychologists, medical specialists in addictive disorders, epidemiology and medical consultants. It also provides infrastructure and applications for the management of electronical medical records, financial system, requisition of goods and services, among others.
