CBIB Funeral For 3 Babies
Prince, Darnell and Sara
October 30
St. Patrick's Cemetery #1
5000 Canal Street
New Orleans, La.

CBIB Compassionate Burials for Indigent Babies will have the privilege of burying 3 babies for families who can not afford a burial. Prince, Darnell, and Sara. One baby was a twin, and died last year but was still unburied. The mother contacted us and told us of her story how she lost her little boy named Prince, but delivered him and her little girl, Royalty. Prince did not survive. She reached out to us to help her bury her baby. She will be bringing her little baby girl, who is one years old, to the funeral of her little brother.

For many young families who are expecting, death comes as a shock to them and they are not prepared for what it costs for a funeral and burial. There are families who would like to bury their baby but simply can't. Recently, CBIB provided burial for 24 babies who were all left at the hospital.

CBIB provides for all costs for indigent families. CBIB owns a crypt and the babies are laid to rest there. We provide a graveside service with flowers and songs. We have a retired couple who makes the coffins and burial gowns for the children to wear. About the clothing, years ago, when we buried a baby found in the trash can, she was naked and wraped in newspaper and still had her umbilical cord. We felt that the clothing of a child was very important. It shows dignity and respect.

It is an honor and a privilege for us to serve the community for those in need. CBIB receives no government funding and depends on donations. Thank you for helping us serve others.

On July 25, 2018 CBIB - Compassionate Burials for Indigent Babies will have a funeral for 11 abandoned babies. They have no names, so CBIB will name them and give them a respectful graveside service and a proper burial. After passing, many families leave their newborn babies at the hospitals because they don't have the funds for a funeral. We have been burying babies for 15 years and have buried 139 babies in Louisiana. CBIB provides a valuable service to the under served in our community. CBIB has buried babies murdered, thrown away in the trash, unclaimed, aborted, still born or miscarried. There are families who don't have enough money to bury their baby. Our funerals/burials are free to those in need. CBIB Mission: is to provide a dignified burial for indigent babies, to bring comfort to grieving families, and to raise awareness of the Safe Haven Law, so that babies would not be thrown away. CBIB believes that all men are created equal and all human life is valuable and sacred and deserves a dignified burial.
