Mission: It is the mission of the organization to provide services to disadvantaged and homeless individuals; to reintegrate homeless families with children into permanent housing and employment.
Programs: Compassion ministries of waco provides transitional housing for homeless families with children. The facility can house up to 60 individuals at any point in time in the fourteen apartment units for families. Upon acceptance into the program, residents work with the case manager to design a service plan for the duration of their stay, which is usually six months. The plan identifies needs and objectives and outlines how each will be met during the resident's stay. It covers housing, employment, family needs (childcare, parenting courses, aa/na counseling, etc. ), health care and personal goals. The staff provides necessary support and referrals to implement and achieve these objectives by the set target date. Each plan is re-evaluated regularly by the staff and resident to determine progress.
