Mission: The organization is dedicated to empowerment of battered women and their children, and therefore is committed to the elimination of personal and societal violence in their lives. It is the mission of the organization to work for societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all people. Community referral agency provides community based temporary shelter, a 24 hour help line, advocacy with community resources, support groups, referral and information and community education.
Programs: In connection with providing community based temporary shelter and advocacy, the community referral agency responded to 244 crisis calls and 5,211 advocacy calls, provided temporary food and housing to 58 adults and 43 children for 6,029 nights. Advocacy was provided 278 adults and 105 children and follow-up to 189 persons. Participant specific transportation was provided for a total of 28,908 miles.
