Programs: Provided capital and operational funding to community health network so that it can serve its mission of building a healthier community. Significant funds were distributed to community health network's north, south and east hospitals. Cancer care at sites across the network helped community's cancer patients through our oncology patient assistance fund which helps patients in financial need, integrative oncology program, cancer care navigation services, fertility preservation assistance, and breast screening and prevention programs for underserved women. The oncology patient assistance fund aided 484 patients in 2017. Support for school-based nursing and behavioral health care for 78,432 students in more than 102 schools throughout central indiana. Other children's initiatives include suicide prevention, play therapy, youth bereavement, our adolescent clinic, and a car seat distribution program. Chf funds behavioral care for adults with serious mental illness, and free meals, health screens, and social engagement opportunities for seniors. For women's care, chf supports new parents by funding breastfeeding programs and the babe store, where low-income parents earn items needed to care for their child by participating in education and prenatal care. Lastly, chf funds the center of hope, providing forensic nursing services, crisis intervention and follow-up care for victims of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.
