Mission: CHIP, Inc. was founded in 1997 as the only statewide network of community health centers in the State of Maryland. Funded in part by their own contributions and in part by a demonstration grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care, this group of seven agencies believe that by measuring and sharing best practices and integrating support services they will improve quality, stabilize the cost of providing care and develop the capacity to serve more of their individual communities needs.
