This company produced a podcast which shamed a professional in the field, hurling insults in a decidedly unprofessional manner. A company run by a bully, giving a platform for small persons to shame others, is not worth anyone's money. This same individual has been banned from a large professional group owing to his rude, childish, and unprofessional behavior. Proceed with caution--or, better yet, find a new company to work with.
Collegiate Empowerment is not what I would consider a true nonprofit and its services are dismal. The organization charges $2,500 at a 2-hour minimum for speaking at a college/high school; it's revenue is provided by people (like a nonprofit) but only because it charges an arm and a leg for workshops and keynotes. Their talks are energetic, sure, but not groundbreaking. Further, the organization is not ethical. They make many public statements that are evidence of racism, sexism, and more. In podcasts on their website they call out higher education professionals by name and bully people in social media. The CEO makes over 100,000 and this organization is a business that charges customers. It is not a nonprofit and that status should be revoked.
