Mission: Coleman builds the leadership and power of low-income and working class youth and parents of color in san francisco to advance racial and economic justice in our schools and our city. Programs: Parent making a change: focused on building the leadership of parents. The program was focused on monitoring and the implementation process for the safe and supportive schools resolution, the mou between school district and the police department and the execution of the local control funding formula. In addition, the parents have been working on the family academy for sfusd's parents. Also, a program called children's making a change (cmac) focused on a math and literacy tutoring program for the children of pmac members

fiscally sponsored projects:the organization fiscally sponsored students making a change (smac) which is a former program focused on building the leadership of students at sf city college and community building in the excelsior neighborhood. The second fiscal project is the community coalition which consisted of numerous agencies and individuals focused on the re-authorization of the children's first initiative which was based as a ballot measure in 2014. The third fiscal project is black lives matter - bay area chapter. In addition, the organization supports coleman action fund for children and youth.
