Mission: CEI''s mission is to help create economically and environmentally healthy communities in which all people, especially those with low incomes, can reach their full potential.
Results: From 2007 to 2010, the Women's Business Center counseled 1045 clients, helping them qualify for and receive 55 loans totaling $4.7 million, creating 337 jobs. In addition, the WBC held 245 workshops, training nearly 2000 business owners on good business practices, including business start-up, web marketing and financial management.
Target demographics: The Women's business Center targets women and men who are small business owners and start-up entrepreneurs.
Programs: To help create opportunities for communities and individuals, especially those with low incomes, by developing and administrering programs and mobilizing funds to stimulate economic activity through investment, technical assistance, research and education primarily in small businesses, social services, affordable housing and community facilities.
