Mission: To enhance the quality of life in the coastal bend area of texas through charitable and educational grants.
Programs: The foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in the coastal bend area of texas from unrestricted, field-of-interest, designated, special project and donor advised funds. Bicycles with kickstands and helmets were presented to needy children at christmas.
the foundation provides scholarships and fellowships to students in accordance with the terms of the approximate 100 scholarship and fellowship funds. During 2015, 317 scholarships were awarded.
on november 15, 2016 the foundation had a one 24 hour period on online giving of donations called the "coastal bend day of giving", where 24 donors matched the first 750,000 collected for 45 nonprofits in the coastal bend service area. The total amount granted to the 45 nonprofits was 1,909,814 which provided assistance to over 35,000 coastal bend residents.
