I always have a great experience when we go to peewees Lydia is wonderful she’s sweet always hard at work but she does a great job on my pups all three. Thank you peewees for all you do for our community.
This is a very wonderful rescue and community resource. I noticed that they have saved Many animals from kill shelters. They have a wonderful facebook page that follows up with adopted animals. Do not hesitate to use the spay and neuter clinic.
I recently took in a dog who was abandoned by his owners. His name is Brody. He waited outside of his home for two days without food or water waiting to be let in to no avail ,that is when I realized that his owners had abandoned him. He went from being loved by the owners kids and having a safe home to sleep in to sleeping outside and not knowing why he was suddenly forgotten about and where his best friends he once played with were. I took care of him for two weeks looking for a home for him and was not able to. The next best option was to take him to peewees which I had a rescue person do. Now she is basically holding him hostage and not allowing him to get adopted out because I had gotten on her bad side and said she was rude and vile. Which she is. Every person that I have sent her way to try to get the dog out of that shelter has been turned away ,so I posted on rescues United which is a dog rescue group about how disappointed I was that she was being rude to potential adopters for Brody. Nobody on that group wants to get on her bad side because she helps to rehome dogs the most which is what corpus needs. I do not care if I am on her bad side. For her to hold a dog hostage and not allow him a safe loving home is wrong and that is not a shelter that is hoping for the best for dogs. She is doing this all because she is angry at me for calling her out on being rude and horrible to everyone who comes her way. Shelters are supposed to WANT dogs to have homes and are supposed to have the dogs /animals best interests at heart. This woman does not. This woman has too much pride and in return is now not allowing Brody to get adopted. Every person that has called for him ,has gotten a “he has been adopted “ line and hung up on rudely. I just found out that he hasn’t been adopted at all and she is lying. This is not okay as someone who is supposed to want the best for dogs. He does not deserve to be withheld a home just because of an angry bitter woman.

I haven't adopted directly from Peewees, but I am the lucky recipient of a beautiful loving dog who was fortunate enough to pass through this facility on her way to a shelter in Michigan, where I found her. She was dehydrated, malnourished and sick when I brought her home, but that's beside the point. Having been in the shelter system for a couple of months she was scared and ill, but if not for the folks at Peewees who partnered with a rescue network to bring my Violet north to safety, she would have been euthanized. At Peewees she received all of her shots, much needed dental work and was spayed. At 8 years old she was probably not the first dog people would look at when adopting, but with a little time and a lot of love and attention, she has been restored to health and is the joy and light of my life. Thank you Peewees Pet Adoption World & Sanctuary Inc for doing the important work that you do. If not for you I wouldn't have my girl Violet.

I read the reviews below. As a dog lover I have to say to anyone writing a review saying the condition is that horrible why would you say don't get a pet there. If it's that horrible wouldn't you ask that people do get pets there and out of their care? That's what I would ask.
