Programs: Adoption and implementation of binding climate action plans and advancement of 100% clean energy in the san diego region, through engagement of public, supporters and decision makers:climate action campaign successfully led the city of san diego to adopt an enforceable, 100% clean energy climate action plan, making san diego the largest u. S. City to make such a commitment. Climate action campaign led the city of del mar to become the second city in san diego county to adopt a 100% clean energy climate action plan. Additionally, through a combination of effective education, outreach, organizing and advocacy we are making a positive movement towards enforceable climate policies in 7 other jurisdictions in the region. We have been featured in over 220 news stories for our work since our inception. Climate action campaign was selected by the san diego unified school district to write their climate action plan. We engaged at least 2000 people in person at over 100 presentations to community organizations, planning groups, and business associations around the san diego region. We issued the first edition of a countywide climate action plan report card which assesses the climate action plans, or lack thereof, of all 19 municipalities in the region.
